Remember these five hotspots in Old St. Boniface when you’re looking for Winnipeg apartments this summer.
Old St. Boniface is the centre of the Franco-Manitoban community, and Provencher Boulevard is one of the best places to soak up the culture. In essence, it’s the Osborne Street of St. Boniface.
Provencher Bridge
The Louis Esplanade bridge offers an amazing view of St. Boniface and the Winnipeg’s downtown skyline (especially at sunset). From here, you’re about five minutes away from the Canadian Museum of Human Rights and the Forks.
Café Postal
Café Postal is a trendy but down-to-earth coffeehouse where you’ll always be greeted with a friendly hello/bonjour. Take a seat by the window and watch the world go by, or grab a tasty espresso to go.
À La Page
Browse some books at À La Page bookstore. It’s a cozy space where you can lost in the stacks with a coffee in hand. French and English material is available (often sold for a dollar just outside the store).
Constance Popp Chocolatier
Winnipeg’s first bean to bar chocolate shop does not disappoint. They have a stellar range of fresh chocolate and tons of tasty treats that you won’t find anywhere else in Winnipeg.
Dwarf no Cachette
Dwarf no Cachette is Japanese restaurant with a twist. With a cute “Kawaii” aesthetic in the dining room and gift shop, it’s like dining in a Disney fairy tale. We highly recommend the Chicken Katsu Ramen.
Le Garage Café
Le Garage Café is the perfect spot for a night cap. This laid-back bar has free live music, comfort food and a warm atmosphere that can’t be beat.
